My name is Azlan, although it’s often confused for Azian or Aslan. It’s usually pronounced AZ-LAHN.
But besides that, I’m a trail runner from Singapore. I began running in 2009 as a way to keep myself fit for my National Service physical tests. But the more I ran, the more it kept me at peace with my depression. I would challenge myself further by running my first half-marathon at the end of that year, followed by my first marathon 5 months after.
In 2011 I met Kilian Jornet and discovered the fascinating world of trail running. I’ve been immersed in that world ever since and am blessed to have been able to travel the world to discover new trails and meet like minded runners.
I enjoy running as well as writing, photography and video editing, which was how this blog came to be. My video productions can be viewed over at my Vimeo Page.
Thanks for coming to check out my site, hope it’ll be of use to you.
