Simple Hydration! A bottle that’s designed to be made simple for runners!
I was introduced to the Simple Hydration bottle by my Nuke Optics team-mate, Ian. At first, I passed it on as just another water bottle, having owned a couple of hydration systems already. A chance encounter of a Facebook post about a discounted bottle caught my attention, so I figured, why not give a try?
A week or so later, I received the packaging from them in my mailbox. It was good to note that the product that had very simple (or non-existent) packaging material aside the envelope, in this case, it really was simple! A leaflet, the bottle, and a small little signed card from the founder of Simple Hydration, Brian D. Hock.
Some features of the bottle include:
- A 53mm cap.
- 13 ounces of fluid capacity (about 384ml)
- A hook shaped bottle so that you can slide it onto the back pocket of your shorts, race belt or just carry by hand.
- BPA free and made in the USA.
I first tested the bottle while out running at Macritchie Nature Trail. I had a problem with the bottle bouncing up and down the back of my shorts, most probably due to my body profile (I’m kinda thin). At the same time, I managed to solve this by slotting it in between the waist belt adjuster on my Salomon race belt. This made running with the bottle much more comfortable.
In summary, the Simple Hydration bottle is a lightweight bottle, contoured to fit the back of your shorts, pocket, race belt and even be carried on in a hydration. It has a unique but sound design and priced affordably.
Disclaimer: I purchased the Simple Hydration Water Bottle on my own and am not being compensated or sponsored in any way whatsoever, so all opinions are 100% my own.
